Portrait of Miris School in the West End of Indonesia

Rakyat Utama. Aceh Utara - The voices of women and children are heard from behind the bamboo-walled building and thatched roof. Visible, many gaping holes throughout the walls and roof. At first glance, the building resembles the place where residents live.

But for children in North Aceh, the building has enormous value. In that simple place every day they study worldly education.

The building is Ta'alimil Mubtadi Middle School located in Pucok Alue Village, Baktiya District, North Aceh, Aceh. The school is located in one complex with the Dayah (pesantren) Ta'alimil Mubtadi. The school students are also part of the students who live in the house.

When visiting the school, there were children in blue and white uniforms like other middle school students coming out of the room where they were staying at the boarding school. By carrying a book, right at 2:00 p.m. WIB they enter the classroom. From a distance, the building seemed to stand alone. However, inside the building was partitioned into three rooms.

Each room has a number of benches and a table placed on the ground which is the floor. While the front wall hung a white whiteboard. With deftness and patience, the teachers taught their knowledge to the students.

This school was established in 2015. Initially it was in a neighboring village but due to various things and constrained by land problems it was moved to its present place.

"The establishment of this school is based on the motivation of the santris in the pesantren who want a school while learning to recite the Qur'an. They ask the leadership of the pesantren to provide schools so they can learn science while reciting," said Ta'alimin Mubtadi Middle School Head Mutazabuddin on Thursday (17 / 1/2019).

After being moved to the current location. The study room used is only simple. Then, because santri in that place had no bed. The study room was diverted to an emergency place at this time. Seen in plain view, it is not beautiful if the condition of the room is so. However, that is what exists and even then the results of self-help of the surrounding community If not, then children are forced to go to other places to study. Of course, the distance is not close.

"During this time the development of self-help community. For the physical, the government has not provided assistance but for the operation there is. The students also if they take the national examination must go to other schools that have computers and adequate facilities," said Mutazabuddin.

He mentioned that until now, the school already had the first batch of alumni. Mutazabuddin will continue to strive to advance the school like other schools both public and private.

"We will continue to try to make this school the best in the future. So far, we have only relied on BOS funds disbursed by the government. Including paying dozens of honorary teachers and procuring textbooks. We hope there will be donors who want to help the school building. all lacks, "added Mutazabuddin.
